About Vet

I have 26 years of experience as a veterinarian (as well as 6 years prior as a technician before vet school), having had many years of practice in a very busy small animal emergency clinic for dogs and cats. I coordinated care between the emergency clinic with other specialists, and I am very good at helping work through problems, and I am a great communicator. When not on Vetster, I am a busy small animal relief Veterinarian, traveling amongst many states to provide in person care.

Developed a practice for equine reproduction, sport horse rehabilitation, neonatal care, and all facets of equine nutrition and care. Having overseen hundreds of foalings, with a special area of expertise in foaling mares, especially those with difficulty in foaling or getting in foal. Handling all facets of neonatal care from the routine to the problems associated with failure of passive transfer, neonatal isoerythrolysis, gastrointestinal disturbances and contracted limbs. In conjunction with that, over the years, developing a strong practice in sport horse medicine, and have been involved with hundreds of global pre-purchase exams, reviewing radiographs and helping clients through the pre-purchase process in foreign countries. Strong emphasis on equine lameness detection and evaluating radiographs. Experienced and proficient in all aspects of equine practice. Excellent communication skills, with a keen interest in life-long learning and improvement.
